Kevin Dowdy

 

 

If anyone can be considered a true independent record executive it is Kevin “KD” Dowdy. A record producer with a keen eye for business and yet always looking out for his artists. Born in Philadelphia and a graduate of West Philadelphia High, KD began teaching himself piano and writing songs over 30 years ago. Never one to compromise his art, KD could not go the major label route. Instead he forged his own painstaking path into the foray of Independent Recording. There is where he made his mark. A veteran of several indie labels, he has taken his experiences with each and positively utilized them in the formation of, MelodicSoul Productions. His signature flowing piano melodies can be heard on many of the recordings of the production company he co-founded. KD is proof that good things can come to those who wait.
